This is the story of a girl who was given the chance to rediscover her creative side after years of growing up and trying to be sensible led her down a very different path. Unforeseen circumstances meant that she suddenly found herself with more time on her hands than most grownups are fortunate to have. Being the sort of girl who has always been into everything, she found no lack of opportunities for getting up to mischief. Crafty sorts of mischief. 

One day, she came across a very special book in an art and poster shop and took it home. She pulled a favourite sock out of her drawer and turned it into a greedy cat begging for food. The next day, a happy bunny, stroppy dude and rock 'n' roll zebra appeared on the scene and she was hooked! 

Soon, an accumulation of socks joined the bits of ribbon, thread, wool and all kinds of buttons lying in tins, boxes and drawers around the house. Family and friends got Su-Linned socks for birthdays and Christmas, some asked for more and others wanted to know how all this darn stuff was made. Many people keep coming up with more and more different ideas and give her much of the creative inspiration for Su-Lin Designs.
